Una National Alumni Association Seeks Nominations For 2009 Homecoming Awards

FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of North Alabama National Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the 2009 Alumni of the Year Awards and Service Awards, to be presented at Homecoming Oct. 2 and 3.
At least one alumnus or alumna, but not more than three, will be selected as Alumni of the Year. Nominees must have graduated from UNA at least four years prior to the time of their nominations. Consideration will be given to nominees whose careers have been of a highly credible nature and to those who have contributed significantly to service endeavors. Former recipients of the award are not eligible. Individual alumni, members of the community and other friends of UNA may make as many nominations as desired. Nominees are also sought for Service Awards in the following categories: Political Service, Community Service, Military Service, Educator Award, Faculty/Staff, and Friend of the University. Each of these awards, with the exception of Friend of the University, is designed to honor a graduate of UNA. Nominations must be submitted to the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni1@caiyo.net by June 5. The nominee's address must be included. Additional biographical information may also be included.
